GrADS Version 1.8sl11 is now available. See the Downloads Page to get the executables. A listing of changes from the preveious release is here.

To ease upgrading from GDS 1.1 to GDS 1.2, a Perl script is now available to automatically convert configuration files to the new XML format: ini2xml.pl [FTP].

The GrADS-DODS Server 1.2 is now officially released. Version 1.2.5 is the first production release. See the GDS home page for more information.

We have are testing the GDS 1.2 at http://cola8.iges.org:9191. This server has the same datasets as our primary public server, with a more friendly directory structure, and improved metadata summaries, among other things. We encourage you to try running scripts against this server. Once it has been fully tested, we plan to switch it over to port 9090 as the primary production server.

The GrADS-DODS Server 1.2 is now available as a beta release. This is a major update to GDS, with a new XML-based configuration mechanism, expanded documentation, major internal code improvements, and many new features. See the release notes for a list of improvements. See the GDS home page for more information.

GrADS Version 1.8SL10 is finally available for DEC alpha systems. The SunOS build has also been upgraded to SL10. See the Downloads Page to get the executables. Further information about the bug fixes and enhancements associated with each 'service level' of version 1.8 is here. The tar file containing the latest version of the source code (1.8sl10) is here.

GrADS Version 1.8 is now available for several flavors of UNIX (SunOS 5.7, LINUX redhat7, and IRIX 6) and Windows (95, 98, 2000, NT, ME) operating systems. See the Downloads Page to get the executables.

Unofficial and somewhat incomplete builds of GrADS version 1.8 are available for Macintosh OSX and
IBM AIX operating systems.
