Dr. K. Miyakoda, Ph.D.,University of Tokyo,
1961. Adjunct Senior Research Scientist. Prof. Miyakoda is also a research
professor at George Mason University. At COLA, he is conducting fundamental
research into the connection between ENSO and the Asian monsoon as parts
of a tropical-wide oscillation. Prior to affiliating with COLA, Prof. Miyakoda
was a professor at IMGA (Italy) for two years and a research meteorologist
with the NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory (Princeton, NJ) for
