Dr. Xiaosong Yang, Ph.D., Stony Brook University, 2006. Research Scientist. Dr. Yang's research includes studies of atmospheric dynamics on storm tracks and annular modes, model parameter estimation problem within data assimilation, and development of statistical methods on studying the predictability on seasonal to decadal timescales . After earning his doctorate in marine and atmospheric sciences at Stony brook University in 2006, Dr. Yang joined COLA as a postdoctoral research scientist.
